Welcome!

Hi. Welcome to my page. If you've gotten this far you probably have run across me from my association with several car clubs and organizations. So, a little about me, I live in a suburb of San Diego. I moved here in '97 after living most of my life in the Chicago area. I belong to the BMW CCA, Team Frantic Racing, a Chicago area non-Marque related enthusiast's club and the Bubba's. You can usually find me on the UUC Digest, Big Coupe Group or the E36M3 list.

I am involved in developing high quality aftermarket upgrade equipment for the BMW. I do most of this development with JT Designs, a firm in nearby San Marcos CA. Enjoy, check out some of the links too.

My Other Car... 1984 633CSi

Rommel
Rommel

The 633CSi started out a way for my son and I to work together on a car over the next 2 years to give him a safe reliable car. Its also a good way for us to share something in common. Since Alex is only 13 right now, we have plenty of time to make Rommel a real garage queen. We spend almost everyday planning repairs and upgrades. Alex is also the envy of his friends and a budding babe magnet. I wish I had it as good when I was an 8th grader.

Here's some recent stuff done to freshen up the 6er:

Replaced the glovebox lamp and latch, most of the dash lights, washer pump, right taillight, seat latch handles, antennae mast, hood lamp switch, right lower control arm, left tie rod, thrust bushings with 750IL parts, fuel filter, all the fluids and tranny filters, differential lube, alignment, refurbished steering wheel leather, right hand sunvisor, replaced missing inner seat hinge covers and window lift switches.

Repairs:

Fixed leak around ECU wiring chase gasket, P/S pump filter, recently rebuilt head, replaced transmission oil cooler supply hose and pipe joint fitting, adjusted passener lock so it would lock/unlock, battery holddown, temporary patch of pinhole exhaust leaks.

Still coming up:

New stereo system, repair coolant temp gauge, replace SI board, repair rear seat turtle backs, new cat-back exhaust, dashboard reskin and 17x7.5 M3 10 spoke wheels with 225/45-17 MXX3s. Lastly we'll completely repaint the car in original Schwartz (black) and re-pinstripe. Instead of the original double red pinstripe decal, we are going to apply a triple stripe in BMW Motorsport colors.
